3-TIPS ON NEGOTIATING PRICE

1. Make a standing offer to buy unsold ad slots at 75% of the retail price. Every Ezine publisher almost always has left over space they are trying to fill. Offer to fill it for them with your ad, at a discount of course.

2. Invite the ezine owner to join the SFI Affiliate Program. They can then promote the program through their ezine. Talk about duplication.

3. Ask for a deep discount on your first purchase so that you can determine your response rate before buying space in future issues. I think this is a great way to get cheaper advertising, but don't do this just to get discounted advertising and then move on to another ezine. What goes around comes around, and it definitely pays to be an honest and moral business owner, because even though it's a big internet your name will get around. Of course if the ad simply isn't pulling well, and you've already tested the content elsewhere and know it works, move on.
